  • A good personality

    • Pray for godly wisdom and do not doubt. You will receive it in due time. – James 1:5-7
    • You must “exercise” yourself in these things constantly if you want to grow. – 1 Timothy 4:7-8

The world’s version of a good personality:

One who talks constantly, without ceasing. Otherwise, you’re boring with no personality. If the conversation ever hits a lull and things get quiet, they are in mental agony, feeling painfully uncomfortable.

God’s version of a good personality:

A gentle and quiet spirit who is quick to listen and slow to speak. And when speaking, only speaks godly wisdom, encouragement and builds others up. Who finds comfort and peace simply in the quiet companionship and presence of others.

    The truth about talking

If you’re not evil speaking, reviling (insulting, criticizing and accusing), gossiping, talking nonsense or complaining, there’s just not that much to talk about.

People who drone on and on incessantly are what the people of God call: “annoying”.
