The garden symbolizes our Father’s kingdom of heaven:
“You can eat from any tree of the garden.” is a single, simple teaching of the concept of: God has given us free will – we’re free to do whatever we want, go where we want, whenever we want within His kingdom – free to mind our own business and do our own thing living in our own little world of joy and peace. (Humans are free to experience their own little human version of joy and peace. The birds are free to experience their own little birdy version of joy and peace. The squirrels are free to experience their own little squirrel version of joy and peace. Cats are free to experience their own little kitty version of joy and peace. Bugs are free to experience their own little bug version of joy and peace. The trees are free to experience their own little version of joy and peace, and so on and so forth. Don’t disturb life unless you absolutely have to: kill that roach in the house, but let an ant outside live if it’s not bothering you. Cut down a tree if you need to. Love the animals, and kill an animal only for truly necessary food – not for sport.)
“But one rule: you must never eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. For in the day you eat it, you will surely die.” is a single, simple teaching of: Humble, submissive obedience to our Father in everything (even when not knowing “why” we should/shouldn’t do something) is the key to free will not going off the guardrails into the slavery that the world operates in today – slavery to the “evil” of the lusts of the flesh and eyes and pride, money, time and sin – which produces all sorts of chaos, misery and destruction (you “die” inside): depression, anxiety, stress, nervousness, fear, panic, worry, anger, bitterness, etc.
